Candidates should have -
(1) (i) Level 2 or equivalent [Note (1)] or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note(2)], or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 [Note (3)] / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note (2)], or equivalent;
(2) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (3)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and
(3) Knowledge of computer applications including Chinese word processing, MS Word and MS Excel are preferred.
Note:
(1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
(1) To assist in the implementation of community involvement projects and activities, and related work for Committees;
(2) To assist in the formation of Owners’ Corporations (OCs) and other related matters;
(3) To attend meetings of owners, OCs and Owners’ Committees;
(4) To visit and liaise with OCs, Owners’ Committees and buildings, prepare reports and input data;
(5) To provide clerical and secretarial support and assist in meetings; and
(6) To perform other related duties as required.
Terms of Appointment:
(1) Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. Contract renewal will be subject to the satisfactory performance, operational needs and availability of resources;
(2) Candidates will be appointed on part time basis with irregular working hours, and need to work on any days including Mondays to Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, as and when required; and
(3) The working hours may vary from month to month.
General Notes:
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. (h) The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Applicants who apply for Government jobs advertised on or after 26 July 2023 should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If applicants submit the old version form (G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If applicants fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.

(1) Application Forms [G.F. 340(Rev. 7/2023)] are obtainable from Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or Job Centres of Labour Department. The form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
(2) Completed application forms together with a copy for each of relevant academic qualifications (including certificates) should reach the contact address below by post or in person on or before the closing date. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid. Any underpaid mail items will be handled by the Hongkong Post and applications will not be considered. For submission in person, the application should reach the contact address below by 5 p.m. of the closing date. Please specify on the envelope 'Application for the Position of Part-time Community Organiser (Tai Po)'. Late applications, or applications which are incomplete, or not made in prescribed form, or submitted by fax/ email, or without the relevant supporting documents will not be considered.
(3) Candidates who are selected for interviews should bring their Hong Kong Identity Card, original copies of relevant supporting documents and a recent passport-size photograph to attend the interview.
(4) Applicants who are not invited for interview within 6 to 8 weeks from the closing date may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
